Graduates received their degrees under blue skies and sunshine Sunday morning as the ���ճԹ� community celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2026, May 15–17.

In a standing-room only Memorial Chapel, members of the Colgate community gathered Wednesday evening to remember the life of Sohail Nabi ’26.

���ճԹ� has long been known for the exceptional quality of its academic faculty and Division I coaching, but rarely do the two come together to learn from one another — until now.

A new Longyear Museum of Anthropology exhibit displays the work of more than 30 crafters from across campus and the community who have created “tempestries” to highlight the yearly temperature changes for significant dates in Colgate’s history.

Ben Cohen, co-founder of the iconic Ben & Jerry’s ice cream company, encouraged students at ���ճԹ� to align their careers with their values during a campus talk in the Memorial Chapel, Monday, April 20. 

On April 23, 2026, the Kraynak Institute hosted Iranian-American journalist and women’s rights activist Masih Alinejad to speak to Colgate students in a lecture and private conversation.

Hucks is one of 252 newly elected members this year, drawn from across higher education, the arts, public policy, and the sciences.

The 1819 Award was created by the Alumni Corporation to honor the senior class member “whose character, scholarship, and service to others best exemplify the spirit that is Colgate.”

WRCU 90.1 FM and the Department of English and Creative Writing hosted a concert headlined by contemporary folk musicians Jake Xerxes Fussell and Sam Amidon on Tuesday, April 7.

Hadley Johnson ’25 has been selected for the NIH Oxford-Cambridge Scholars Program, a transatlantic partnership between the National Institutes of Health, the University of Oxford, and the University of Cambridge.
