This afternoon, Colgate moved to Gate 4, based on recommendations from the Health Analytics team, following a careful review of available data. I want to take this opportunity to update you on the details of our new Gate status and other information from campus.

Colgate stands firmly against acts of anti-Asian violence and the sentiments that motivate them.

As of today, Colgate’s Health Analytics Team Dashboard shows no active cases of COVID-19 among the student body and one active employee case. Tests conducted last week of 50% of the on-campus population show no new infections. This is great news.

Multiple reports of large gatherings over the past few days are cause for concern, as unsanctioned gatherings and lax adherence to guidelines regarding face coverings and physical distancing can lead to serious public-health consequences for our community.

I write to share with you as much information as possible about accounts of sexual assault or misconduct that have been circulating over the past few days.

On Friday, Feb. 5, Colgate moved to Gate 1, which allows more freedom of movement for students and the resumption of in-person instruction.

With the first week of universal quarantine behind us, I write with an update on news from the ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï campus.

Colgate is preparing for spring semester in-person instruction.

Next week, on Nov. 20, most ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï students will begin to depart campus for Thanksgiving break, marking the end of in-person instruction for the fall semester.

Fifty years ago, ½ñÈÕ³Ô¹Ï welcomed its first fully coeducational class.
